The main purpose of issuing this regulation is to improve the visibility of the driver at night and prevent secondary accidents when the car malfunctions or other unexpected situations occur in low visibility conditions such as nighttime, dusk, and rainy and foggy days. If the driver wants to get off the car for vehicle inspection, they can wear reflective vests to improve the visibility of the driver at night.
There are also related experiments that have shown that in dim environments, personnel wearing black clothing at a distance of 10 meters have low visibility, while those wearing red clothing and reflective clothing are clearly visible; 20 meters away, black clothing is completely invisible, and the visibility of the experimenter wearing red clothing is low; Reflective clothing visible; 30 meters away, under the reflection of the car lights, only the reflective strip is still clearly visible. This kind of experiment can clearly reflect that reflective vests can effectively improve people's visibility in dim environments, alert other vehicle drivers, slow down when there is someone in front, and set up a warning sign with reflective vests to add a safety guarantee for people.
